About Me

My Family

My family is one of the most important things in my life. I have a really big extended family and value all of my family members so much. My mom has six sisters and all of them have children. I am very close with all of my cousins and my aunts. We all get together every year multiple times a year. In addition to my extended family I also value my close family very much as well. I have a sister that is 23 years old. She is actually a Stout graduate as well as her Husband. They just had my niece on August 29th. I am a new aunt and very excited about it.

Personal Narrative

When I found out that I got accepted to Stout I was elated. I was so excited to have similar experiences to my sister who also attended Stout. Then Covid happened. I had to adapt to many different things. I had my high school graduation in my living room. I drove through a parking lot to receive my diploma. All of these experiences gave me the ability to thrive in college even despite a pandemic that halted all activities deemed normal for a college experience.

I wasn’t sure that I had the ability to push through that adversity and somehow I did and came out better on the other side. In 2022, I received the Wisconsin Marketing Educators Emerging Educator award. This award recognizes a up and coming teacher in Marketing Education. This was such an honor and I am extremely proud of myself for receiving such an award when not even 3 years ago I thought I wouldn’t have been successful as a college student. I have accomplished so much since coming to Stout and I feel like that award is such a great representation of the growth I have had.
